Ligerion Capital investment strategy focuses on early-stage and middle-market businesses with a significant growth potential based in Russia and CIS. We invest in entrepreneurs who have taken the decision to invite an external investor and adviser to boost the growth and improve the level of business development. We tend to discuss the particulars of our investment strategy, ownership/exit and management issues on a case-by-case basis, however our typical investment criteria are:

• alignment of interest – both the investor and management should be driven by the same objectives, partnership as a key word
• strong market barriers – competitive technology, method or know-how allowing the company to protect and grow its market position

• potential to add value via low-capital intensive actions and support (introduction of new management, exclusion of value-subtracting business sectors, expanding of client base and business partners)
• involvement of investee’s representatives in the strategic management of the company
